Fall lock-in!

It’s time for our annual lock-in event! We’ll be starting this Friday, Sept 11 at 7pm… bring your sleeping bag, because the fun isn’t over until Saturday at 1pm!

We’ll provide plenty of snacks, but you’ll want to eat dinner beforehand. Please bring $10 to help us cover the cost of running the event—we’d also love it if you could bring bottled water or soda to share.

Did I mention that you’ll get a cool t-shirt?

We’ll be updating our photo directory as well, so be ready to have your picture taken when you show up!

See you there!

Here’s a short slideshow from our mission trip to Yakama…

Snow day!

This Saturday, February 21st is our Attic Snow Day! We will meet at the church at 10:30, and will leave the parking lot by 11:00. Please do not be late!

Things to bring:

  • PERMISSION SLIP – we must have one for anyone coming. Download it here.
  • Money for dinner – probably $10-12, we will be going to XXX Root Beer – Jim’s favorite :)
  • Warm clothes (waterproof if possible) – change of clothes if you want
  • gloves
  • hats/scarves
  • saucers/tubes/etc (but nothing with metal rails on the bottom)
  • sack lunch – we won’t stop for food on the way up, but will on the way home
  • water bottle
  • snacks to share (optional)

Activities you can participate in:

  • skiing/snowboarding – lift tickets are $56 for all day. We’ve heard that it’s easiest to rent your equipment down here (at REI, Alpine Hut, or similar)
  • tubing/sliding/saucers – free

We would love for you to bring your friends, but we must have a permission slip for each of them.

To help us plan rides for everyone, please email us and us know if you’re coming. See you there!

Updates and additional information:

1. we are going to Snoqualmie. The sledding group will be that the Hyak Sno-Park.

2. we are guessing we will be back around 7:00, but last year we were back earlier since it was so cold and it was snowing so we headed down the mountain earlier than we anticipated. Your student will call you after we leave dinner.

3. Jim will be driving the church van and then probably a couple other adults will drive since we cannot fit all student and leaders in the van. No students will be driving (due to liability)

4. John Turnbull will be our adult chaperone up on the skiing/snowboarding area

5. Jim, Denise, Matt & Amanda will be the other adult leaders coming on this trip

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
